Just got home from the Mother Lode Parade. Perfect weather, about 75 degrees. Fun was had by all, some more than others.
Will BBQ up hamburgers for lunch, and for Mothers Day tomorrow, it's TRI-TIP!

RE: Jackson Rancheria, CA Thanksgiving Nov 26th-29th, 2008

Hey Butch! I sorry I haven't gotten back to you, been real busy. I haven't been on here at all lately. The weather has been great, and should be the same this weekend.
Every year Sonora High hosts a band review. All the local school bands perform for each other. During the parade they don't get to see each other so the perform Wed. nite before the parade every year. Every body has friends at different schools because of church, scouting, little league, etc. Part of being a small community. That's where we were tonight. It's always a lot of fun.
Every year there is an estimated 60k+ crammed into downtown for the parade. It's always 'good luck' to 'ya finding a place to park. We always have to take our kids down to the high school early for the band so we get a parking spot early and walk 1/2 block to a friend of ours house and sit on their lawn to watch the parade.
If you're coming up, let me know. Like to meet you.

I'd be overloaded with my '04 2500HD 6.0 with 4:10's, let alone a 1/2 ton.

Mother Lode Round-up Parade and Rodeo in Sonora is next weekend! Parade starts at 10am on Saturday. Have to get there EARLY to get a place anywhere near town to park.
Gonna be FUN!
Weather should be about 70 deg., partly cloudy with a light breeze.

RE: How to recover from a jackknife on black ice

I know a lot of family truck drivers and the only thing that may have helped would have been to use the trailer brake only, but hard to think that quick when things start happening.
Good to hear that you and DW are ok. Sorry about the TV & TT.
Sounds like the TT wasn't blown completely apart, since it and TV were at a wrecking yard and able to get stuff out. Sounds like good TV & TT.

RE: Imagine My Frustration!!!

At least you're getting wet. We haven't had enough wet here this spring. We're already heavy into fire season, over a month early. Our April drought brought dry grass.
